Cavs Roll Past Clippers for 12th Consecutive Win!
The Cleveland Cavaliers have increased their win streak to 12 games. The Cavs beat the Clippers 105-94 at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland. LeBron James dropped 23 with 9 assists and Kevin Love added 24 and 9 boards. Timofey Mozgov contributed 12 points and 9 rebounds.
The Cavaliers have made 2 big trades over the past month that have really boosted their team to this 12 game win streak. The Cavs have added J.R. Smith, Timofey Mozgov, and Iman Shumpert. Smith has solidified the starting guard position opposite of Kyrie Irving. Smith brings his offense and elusiveness to the court which is needed because people tend to keep their eyes on “The Big 3” of the Cavs, so he gets many open looks. Smith is going to be one of the keys to making our offense better so LeBron, Kyrie, and Love don’t have to carry the whole team.
Mozgov is a big key to the Cavs win streak because of his defensive prowess. He is the shot blocker and rim protector that the Cavs lost when Varejao was lost for the season. Mozgov is a monster on defense and with LeBron James at the helm of your offense, you will be poised for a playoff run.
The Cavs are going to be one of the top teams coming out of the East this season. They will need to perfect their defense first because defense wins championships. With Mozgov on your roster you will be able to cement the paint and LeBron can take over the offense to win games. The Cavs have all the pieces to put together a championship run.
