Final Four Preview
(1) Kentucky vs. (1) Wisconsin
These two teams are meeting for the second straight year in the Final Four. The team dynamic is a little different for both. Kentucky lost Julius Randle to the NBA, and Willie Cauley-Stein was hurt and didn’t play in the game last year. Wisconsin is different in that the duo of Frank Kaminsky and Sam Dekker is much more lethal. They combined for 56 points against Arizona in the Elite 8
Altogether, this will be a great game on Saturday night, but I just do not see Kentucky losing. I think Kentucky is way too talented for Wisconsin to match up for a full 40 minutes. If any team can beat Kentucky, it is Wisconsin. Wisconsin can use the same blueprint that Notre Dame gave them on how to beat the undefeated Wildcats. However, I just think that Karl-Anthony Towns and Willie Cauley-Stein will be too much for Wisconsin to handle.
(1) Duke vs. (7) Michigan State
Mike Krzyzewski is making his 12th Final Four appearance, tying legend John Wooden. Duke beat the Spartans by 10 in November, but things have changed for both teams. Michigan State has caught fire as of late behind the play of Travis Trice. Travis Trice has scored the 3rd most points in the NCAA Tournament among the Final Four teams with 127. Trice will have to play a perfect game and shoot lights out for the Spartans to pull off the upset against the Blue Devils.
I think that Duke will win this game because of their diaper dandy freshmen Jahlil Okafor and Justise Winslow. Okafor is up there with Kaminsky for the best player in the country right now, which is why I think that Duke will be too much for Michigan State to handle.
