MLB Lineup Advice: Outfielders (Monday)
Billy Hamilton, MIL @ CIN – FD $3,700 DK $4,500
The Cincinnati Reds had a pretty great offensive series against the Chicago Cubs, even though they lost the two games they played. The scheduled game for Saturday was postponed due to the weather. Billy Hamilton went 3-for-8 in the two games with an RBI, 2 runs scored, and 4 stolen bases. Hamilton is a massive threat because of his astounding speed. The Reds play the Brewers this week, and Hamilton has a career average of .400 against Jimmy Nelson. I look for Hamilton to have another big game on Monday with runs scored and bases stolen.
Ryan Braun, MIL @ CIN – FD $3,100 DK $4,700
The Brewers lost another series, and this time it was against the St. Louis Cardinals. Ryan Braun went hitless in the two games he played over the weekend. Braun did score a run on Saturday because he was given a free pass. The Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher for Monday is Jason Marquis, and Ryan Braun has a .536 career average against him. Braun is a great play against the Reds on Monday because of how well he has hit Marquis.
Matt Kemp, HOU @ SDP – FD $3,900 DK $4,700
The San Diego Padres lost the series to the Los Angeles Dodgers over the weekend. However, Matt Kemp had a good series against his former ball club. Kemp went 5-for-11 over the weekend with 2 stolen bases and 3 runs scored. Kemp has had a hit in 9 out of his last 10 games. He only has one home run, but he is consistently getting on base and scoring. Kemp is going to be a fantastic play tonight against the Astros.
Michael Brantley, KAN @ CLE – FD $3,800 DK $4,700
The Indians absolutely destroyed the Detroit Tigers on Friday night 13-to-1, but the Tigers came back to win the series. Michael Brantley went 8-for-13 in the series with 2-RBI, scored 3 runs, and stole 1 bag. Brantley has had a hit in 8 out of his last 10 games, and I look for him to continue that streak against Kansas City. The Royals have fantastic pitching, so it will be very hard for Brantley to succeed with high numbers against the Royals.
Hanley Ramirez, TOR @ BOS – FD $3,700 DK $5,100
The Boston Red Sox dropped two of three games to the Baltimore Orioles over the weekend, but they had fantastic offensive success. Hanley Ramirez went 6-for-13 over the weekend with 3 home runs, 5-RBI, and he scored 4 times. Ramirez is facing a second year pitcher in Aaron Sanchez, so I look for Ramirez to have a big game against the Toronto Blue Jays.
Other players to consider: Justin Upton, HOU @ SDP – FD $3,900 DK $4,400, Adam Jones, CWS @ BAL – FD $4,000 DK $4,800, and Wil Myers, HOU @ SDP – FD $3,300 DK $4,000
